Do You Like Guest Readers and Fun?

When we celebrate Dr. Seuss during "Read Across America" week, one of my favorite activities is having guest readers come in and read to the class. The kids love Dr. Seuss books, and hearing someone else reading them is always a treat. Several parents came in to read. One of our principals and another administrator came in also. They both did an exceptional job! The kids really enjoyed listening to them! Below is a picture of one of our guests -  Dr. Tarte with the class. He has a really cool blog. It's packed with all kinds of really great stuff!! Check it out! Life of an Educator by Justin Tarte

Wacky Weather on Wacky Wednesday

Well we are supposed to be celebrating Dr. Seuss week this week, but Mother Nature has other plans. We usually have 2 or 3 snow days in a year, but tomorrow will make number 11. We will start our Dr. Seuss activities when we return. It looks like Mixed Up Monday might be on Top Hat Tuesday, and Wednesday will really be wacky if it happens on Thursday. We have lots of fun things planned, and I hope to have some pictures up soon.
